Health secretary Steve Barclay was told by the mother of a child with cystic fibrosis that she was scared for “the length” of her daughter’s life and what the government “might do to the NHS”, during a visit to King’s College Hospital in south London.
Mr Barclay defended the government, saying that an extra £6.6bn for the NHS over the next two years was announced in the Autumn Statement.
